Retip and Repair

All custom tools and some standard can be retipped to brand new conditions, with substantial saving for you. Depending on your application we can retip with either carbide or tangtung.

Sharpening

We use the Vollmer CX100
The CX100 ensures precise results when grinding carbide tipped saws up to 500 mm diameter. It's not only extremely precise, but also very fast. Thats the beauty of being CNC controlled. Faster turnaround on your sharpening jobs! An additional advantage: Different grinding speed and path values can be steplessly entered for each surface to be ground.


Proper tool repair is essential; to maximize tool life between sharpening, produce a consistently smooth finishing cut, reduce power requirements, and maintain proper rake and shear angles.
